What Makes Us Different

We know you have a lot of options when choosing your cancer doctor, and we hope you’ll entrust Dr. Paryani and his team with your care. We’ve highlighted below what we feel are the key differences between us and other cancer practices across the country:

Board Certified Physicians

You will always be seen by a board certified radiation oncologist at every visit. No trainees, no residents, no medical students, no allied health providers. Cancer is serious business, and we will never entrust your care to someone who is in training or not qualified at the top of their license to care for you.

Superior Education

Dr. Paryani was educated at the #1 research university in the world – Princeton University. He completed his residency training at the world famous Mayo Clinic, the #1 hospital in the world. When it comes to your health, we promise you will never have to settle for second best.

60+ years of experience

Dr. Paryani’s grandfather was one of the first radiation oncologists in the state of Florida, and his family has proudly cared for Floridians continuously since 1957. Dr. Paryani brings the experience of his family coupled with a modern, cutting edge treatment approach.

Accessibility

As a patient you will have 24/7 access to Dr. Paryani including his personal cell phone number for you to text. You won’t have to go through automated call centers or talk with doctors or nurses unfamiliar with your treatment should you develop problems or issues.

Integrated Records

As the sole provider of radiotherapy at St. Joseph’s Hospital, your medical records will seamlessly integrate with your other providers, whether they are within the BayCare system or outside of it.

The Most Advanced Technology

Some cancer treatment centers cannot afford the best and most expensive radiation therapy equipment, often times utilizing out of date, second hand, or less technologically capable radiotherapy equipment. As an analogy, while a used Toyota Camry will get to your destination as well as a Bentley, certainly you’d rather have the Bentley, especially if your life depended on it. Dr. Paryani’s promise to you is that you will always receive the best technology available to treat your cancer, maximizing your chance of beating the disease.

Travel Concierge Services

If you are one of the many patients travelling nationally or internationally to see Dr. Paryani, we can help you arrange your travel and provide suggestions on where to stay locally. We can also provide a list of leisure activities to enjoy while undergoing your treatment. We are used to working with people from out of state and outside of the U.S. and will make the process as seamless as possible

COVID-19 precautions

Dr. Paryani and his staff follow all COVID-19 precautions including mandatory masking, hand washing, and cleaning protocols. The radiation therapy equipment is cleaned thoroughly between patients as well as at the end of the day. Any patients who test positive for COVID-19 are treated on separate radiotherapy equipment distinct from other patients, and treated at the end of the day so as not to interact with other patients. Deep cleaning of all equipment and surfaces is performed daily. The radiotherapy center has separate access from the hospital with direct onsite parking, allowing patients to practice social distancing and avoid the COVID areas of the hospital entirely.
