Our doctors are specially trained in the placement of SpaceOAR hydrogel, a protective barrier than is implanted in patients in order to protect the rectum during prostate cancer radiation. Coupled with our experience in using stereotactic radiosurgery, this allows prostate cancer patients to complete radiotherapy in 5 days or less while also providing superior outcomes to more traditional radiotherapy.
Dr. Paryani was one of the first radiation oncologists in Florida to offer the revolutionary Optune Tumor Treating fields, a treatment used for a malignant brain tumor known as glioblastoma multiforme. In addition to being a certified prescriber of Optune, Dr. Paryani also received additional certification in treatment planning for Optune, allowing him to customize the therapy for his patients. Optune allows patients with GBM to live longer lives while maintaining their quality of life.
